Children's Social Group

Our fortnightly, children's social group meetings can be booked here.

Those attending must be members of the NAS South Hampshire Branch. Membership of our branch is free (a form can be downloaded from our website) or collected at the group on your first meeting.

Meetings are usually held fortnightly on Tuesdays (we follow term times). Children's group meeting times are 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and are held at St Patrick’s Church Hall, Portsmouth Road, Woolston, Southampton, S019 9BD. The hall is just behind the church, there is a car park and it is close to train and bus routes.

Please note: Your place at this meeting must be booked in advance - we cannot allow entry on the door without a pre-booking. 

Places may be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. Places are limited due to the space available. 

We ask for a contribution of £2.00 per child towards the cost of these meetings, payable either in advance or at the door. Parents/carers are free but must book their place in advance. When booking please select from the following ticket categories:

• Parents/Carers place to reserve your place (at least one parent/carer must accompany a child), and
• Pay in Advance (Child) to pay £2.00 per child by PayPal or credit/debit card*, or
• Pay on Day (Child) to reserve your child place(s) and pay by cash at the door

*Please note: 

• To pay with a credit/debit card please select Pay With PayPal on the checkout page. You do not need to have a PayPal account or sign up to have one.
  
• Once you have booked your places, there is no need to print out a ticket - we will have a list of members who have booked.
  
• If, after booking, you find you are no longer able to attend, please email us as soon as possible so we can make your place available to others.

Free refreshments are available.

A limited selection from our Resource Library will be available to members to borrow.

To ensure the safety and security of all attending, please note the following:

• Please DO NOT ATTEND if you, any of your household or anyone you have recently been in contact with, feel unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19.
• If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 during the meeting you will be asked to return home.
• Government advice is to consider wearing a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces. The wearing of face coverings inside the building is optional – please respect people's choices*.
• Parents must remain responsible for their children/young people and must remain in the same room as them at all times
  

*Please note: we may have to impose tighter restrictions if there is a significant increase in COVID-19 cases locally.
