Family Youth Club

Junction Church (Bishopstoke Evangelical Church) - Stoke Park Road, Eastleigh SO50 6DA, UK

Our monthly, Saturday afternoon clubs are specifically for children accompanied by their families (including siblings). There is no fixed age-range but most children that attend are between 5 and 13. A child does not need to have a formal autism diagnosis to attend.

PLEASE NOTE: For our 26 October and 23 November clubs, we will be meeting at the Junction Church (formerly Bishopstoke Evangelical Church) in Stoke Park Road, Bishopstoke, due to building work taking place at Chandlers Ford Methodist Church. Most of our regular activities will still take place with the exception of table tennis and air hockey.

Places must be booked and paid in advance as there will be a strict limit on the numbers we can accommodate. This will be on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of 5 places available per family. We ask that people book as early as possible so we know how many to prepare for. Tickets are available up until 1.00pm on the day of the event unless all tickets have been booked, after which, no further tickets will be available on this site. Please do not turn up 'on chance' as we would hate to have to refuse entry if we are already full.

We ask for a donation of £2.00 per child (adults are free but are still required to book) and this includes refreshments for all the family. Payment by PayPal or credit/debit card. To pay with a credit/debit card please select Pay With PayPal on the checkout page. You do not need to have a PayPal account or sign up to have one.

In order to ensure the safety and security of all those taking part in this activity, and to comply with our insurance obligations, our safeguarding and child protection policy, and the conditions of hire of this facility, we ask that you observe the following:

  • Please DO NOT ATTEND if you, any of your household or anyone you have recently been in contact with, feel unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19.
  • If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 during the meeting you will be asked to return home.
  • The wearing of face coverings inside the building is optional – please respect people's choices*.
  • Parents/carers must remain responsible for their children/young people and must remain in the same room as them at all times.
  • We ask that an adult accompanies their child/young person to the toilet.
  • Volunteer helpers who are running this activity are not responsible for supervising children.
  • Our volunteer helpers will monitor the congestion in rooms and, therefore, may ask families to move on from one activity to another.
  • The stage area of the main hall is out of bounds to us.
  • One room will be designated a games room where air hockey and table tennis will be available.
  • The main hall will be divided into areas for crafts, Lego and Playmobile. As a result, ball games will not be available.
  • A quiet room is also available with books and board games.
  • Free refreshments will be available and a selection from our resource library will be open at this meeting.
  • Please respect the facilities (which we use at very low cost) and report any accidental damage immediately to one of our helpers.
  • This club is available to branch member families only, therefore if you haven’t yet joined, please complete a membership form and post or email to us, or complete a form at the club on your first visit.

*Please note: we may have to impose tighter restrictions if there is a significant increase in COVID-19 cases locally.

Please note: If, after booking, you find you are no longer able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make your place available to others.
